Our goal is to perform as many surgeries as indicated minimally invasively. This means either via the laparoscope or da Vinci robot. For the patient, this means shorter hospital stays, smaller incisions, and faster recoveries. Many gynecologic malignancies can be treated minimally invasively which entails quicker recovery and getting adjuvant treatment started sooner. Moreover, most gynecologic issues can be treated minimally invasively including uterine fibroids and endometriosis. Minimally invasive surgery has become the standard of care for many conditions.
